Visas

A valid passport (minimum six months validity) is required. Many nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival at Aden Adde International Airport. However, we recommend contacting the Somali embassy or consulate in your country to verify current requirements.

If required, EACON can provide an official invitation letter confirming your participation in the conference. Please email info@eaccon.com with your full name, passport details, and proof of conference registration.

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended, including coverage for medical treatment and emergency evacuation. Check with your insurance provider to ensure your plan includes Somalia.

Getting There

By Air

Aden Adde International Airport (MGQ) is the main entry point to Mogadishu, connecting with regional and international hubs including Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Djibouti, and Istanbul. The airport has modern facilities, and a range of airlines serve this route, including Turkish Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, and local carriers.

Upon arrival, we recommend using pre-arranged hotel transfers or reliable taxi services. Hotels near the venue often provide secure shuttle services; please confirm this with your accommodation provider.

Power Supply

Somalia uses 220V power with 50Hz frequency, and sockets compatible with Type C and Type F plugs. Power interruptions may occur, though hotels and the venue have backup generators. A universal adapter and a portable power bank are recommended to ensure you stay connected throughout the conference.
