How participation works

Whether you are joining us in Mogadishu or following online, this is what to expect and what to prepare.

In Mogadishu

Confirm your participation

Reply to the secretariat’s invitation with your name as it should appear on your badge, organisation and passport details if you need a visa letter.

Invitation letter and visa

The secretariat issues a personalised invitation letter for visa purposes. Apply early: see Travel, Visa & Accommodation.

Travel and stay

Send your flight details for an airport transfer; partner-hotel rates and booking codes are shared with confirmed delegates.

Badge and access

Collect your badge at your hotel desk the evening before or at the venue from 08:00 on 12 October. The badge gives access to all open sessions, lunches and the reception.

Online

Live stream

The opening, keynotes, panels and pillar dialogues are streamed live. The link is published on this site and EACON’s social channels on the morning of 12 October.

Two languages

The stream carries English and Somali audio channels with simultaneous interpretation.

Times

The programme runs 08:00–17:00 East Africa Time (UTC+3) on both days; recordings are posted afterwards on the Gallery and Media Center pages.

Take part

Questions for Fireside Chats and panels can be sent during sessions through the stream’s comment feed; moderators read a selection.
