Somalia and the East African Community
Somalia formally acceded to the EAC in 2024, becoming its eighth member state. EACON 2026 brings policymakers, institutions and the private sector from across the Community to Mogadishu to turn that membership into practical cooperation on trade, investment and human capital.

Why regional integration matters
